REQUIREMENT FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH SACRAMENT PREPARATION

Sacrament Preparartion is two consecutive years of preparation. Your child is eligible to sign up for the Sacrament Preparation class AFTER your child has already completed one full year of Faith Formation the previous year.

If this is your first year of Faith Formation, use the online Faith Formation Registration form to join our program. The kindergarten program is NOT considered as the first year of preparation for Sacrament preparation.

If Faith Formation was completed from another parish for the first year, we need for you to provide a letter from the director/coordinator of that parish before we can process your registration form.

You will also need to supply us a copy of the child's baptismal certificate BEFORE we can process your registration form as complete.

A completed Confirmation Sponsor form is also required before class begins.

If 2023-2024 is your child's second year of Faith Formation, do join our Sacramental Preparation program by filling out this form and making a payment.
Note: In joining our program its a parent's commitment to grow their children in the Catholic Faith. Hence, you are agreeing that your child will continue to be a part of the formation program even after receiving the Sacraments. Thank you for choosing to grow your children in faith and helping us journey with you as one family in Christ.

Holy Family is a " restored order" parish wherein the celebration of the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist are received together. “Restored Order” is to celebrating the sacraments of initiation in the order in which God designed them to be administered: Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist. It also restores the practice of administering the sacraments of Confirmation and First Eucharist to children of early age, which is how the early Church practiced the first 500 years. Registration for the Children's Sacrament Preparation is now CLOSED. Open registration for 2023-2024 will begin on July 1, 2023.

Sacrament Preparation classes are held from 11 AM - 12:00 PM on most Sundays during the school year.

ADULT CONFIRMATION INFORMATION

Registration for the Adult Confirmation classes in the fall will begin July 1, 2023. We will also have the paper forms available in the parish office.

If you are a Baptized practicing Catholic who never received the Sacrament of Confirmation when you were younger, in-person classes will be offered in the fall.

All candidates will also need a fully initiated Catholic to be a Sponsor. Email Jackie Cantu for the Confirmation Sponsor Eligibility form. Let us know if you need help in finding one.

You will also need to provide a copy of your Baptismal and First Holy Communion certificates along with your registration form to complete your enrollment.

  Holy Family Parish recognizes parents as the primary teachers of their children in the church at home - The Domestic Church (Sunday Liturgy together as a family, pray at home together as a family, volunteer together as a family, etc.) A family that prays together, stays together. We partner with parents in the formation process of their children as disciples of Jesus Christ. Parents, too, are called to continuing. life-long formation.
