Fr. Andrew Vu Nguyen was born in Sai Gon, Vietnam. He was part of the first wave of refugees who left Vietnam by boat. He is a resident of San Jose for about thirty years. He received his Bachelor of Science in the field of Management Information System.  He used to work for Compaq Computers and Solid Data Systems as Network Engineer.  He left his engineering career after five years in the field and joined St. Patrick Seminary.  He was ordained a priest on May 23rd, 2009.  He was assigned to Holy Spirit Parish and Our Lady of La Vang (Formerly St. Patrick Church) as parochial vicar.  On March 23rd, 2015, Bishop Patrick McGrath appointed Fr. Andrew as 16th Pastor of Holy Family Church.
