RCIAhas many areas to serve for those who desire to journey with others spiritually.Some of the areas require specific training where others require minimal; some require more time than others; it is for the person interested to determine what is best for their schedule.There is need for all the following.
Ministries of the RCIA: Pre-Catechumenate team member – First stage of the process, on-going training and apprenticeship available for those interested; Youth and children on Thursday evenings and adults on Monday evenings.
Catechumenate team member – Second stage of the process, on-going training and apprenticeship available for those interested; Youth and children on Sundays and adults on Monday evenings.
Mystagogia companion – Final stage of the process, companion journey’s with the initiated person throughout the year offering support and prayer as they continue to discover where they are called to serve God and others.
Retreat facilitator – For adults an overnight/weekend retreat offsite is offered where facilitators are needed to lead a small group or a specific area for reflection; the children/youth have two one day retreats with needs of facilitators, these retreats are held at Holy Family Parish grounds.Food is always great to provide as well as letters/notes of encouragement.
Dismissal leader – To lead the catechumen in breaking open the Word on Sunday’s during a specific Mass; to offer the Living Word as a challenge to live by through personal experiences, reflection and prayer.Training is available.
Sponsor/God-parent – To journey with one who seeks to know and to build a relationship with Christ;to be a witness to personal conversion, to their growth, faith and love in ones life.This is a lifetime commitment to the person as on going support in their faith growth.
Community companion – To journey with those who are on the journey to find purpose and meaning in life through Christ’s Love.To be in contact when at Mass or other church functions as support and encouragement.
Prayer companion – To journey in prayer for those who are participating in seeking to find Christ in their life.
