Volunteers knit or crochet lap blankets and pray for those who are seriously ill, or grieving the loss of a spouse, child, or parent. One of our priests blesses the blanket after it is completed and then it is given to the person/family.
We also crochet blankets for premature babies in the Neo-Natal Unit at Good Samaritan Hospital. These blankets are also blessed by one of our priests.
Our Ministry has undertaken a challenge to knit or crochet smaller-sized lap blankets for the PolyTrauma Unit at the Veterans' Hospital in Palo Alto. We will gift our Veterans with these blankets when Holy Family Knights of Columbus visit them during the Christmas Season.
Any donations of yarn or cash to purchase yarn will be greatly appreciated.
